Drunken Woman Punches Cop In Stomach After Casino Ejection: Des Plaines PD

The 36-year-old is also accused of kicking a second officer during the incident at Rivers Casino.

DES PLAINES, IL — A Chicago woman was arrested last week for punching a police officer in the stomach, and kicking another, after being kicked out of the Rivers Casino. Minjoung Park, 36, of the 300 block of E. Wacker Road, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to police and one count of resisting arrest.

According to Des Plaines police, the incident occurred at 3:35 a.m. April 22, at 3000 S. River Road. Officers had responded the property for a report of an intoxicated woman refusing to leave the casino. Police said after Park's husband cashed out his chips, both were escorted toward the exit, where the accused repeatedly stopped, yelled, and refused to leave despite warnings.

Outside the entrance, Park approached an officer and punched him in the stomach. When officers attempted to take her into custody, Park resisted and kicked a second officer, according to police. She continued resisting while being placed into a squad vehicle.
