This class will give confidence to novices and be a good refresher for experienced boaters. Topics include: Introduction to Boating, Boating laws, Boat Safety Equipment, Safe boating, and Navigation. Upon the successful completion of the course and test, participants will receive a certificate of completion. Many insurance companies will offer discounts on boat insurance to those who successfully complete America’s Boating Course. Illinois requires a class like this for personal watercraft operators between the ages of 15 to 18. All materials are provided by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary instructor.
