Appeal Your Property Tax Assessment

Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak is announcing a final property tax appeal seminar for Elk Grove Township residents seeking to appeal their 2012 assessments.

The seminar is co-sponsored by Elk Grove Township Assessor Connie Carosielli, Cook County Commissioner Timothy O. Schneider, State Representative David Harris and Elk Grove Mayor Craig Johnson.

The seminar includes a presentation by Commissioner Dan Patlak explaining how property taxes are calculated and the appeal procedure of the Board of Review. Before the end of the evening, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns. The goal of the Board is to help taxpayers file a successful appeal in a time when the economy is putting added pressures to home and business owners.

This event is free to the public and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. Taxpayers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill.

The seminar will be held:
Tuesday, September 18, 2012
Elk Grove Township
2400 S. Arlington Heights Road
Arlington Heights, IL 60005
7:00 p.m

Elk Grove Township is open for appeal until Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
