Fall registration for Oakton classes begins April 5

Fall semester registration for credit classes opens Wednesday, April 5, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road Des Plaines and 7701. N. Lincoln Avenue, Skokie. Classes begin the week of Aug. 21.

Enrollment for fall classes can begin online at www.oakton.edu/admission. Register in person at Oakton’s campuses Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. Students with a current application on file may register online at my.oakton.edu.

Students who attend Oakton spend about a third as much to earn the same credits as those who attend traditional colleges or universities. According to a recent report prepared for the Illinois Community College Board, a 25-year-old Oakton graduate can expect an increase in lifetime earnings of approximately $724,000 more than someone with only a high school diploma. That’s a 56 percent increase over the total lifetime earnings of someone not completing a community college program.
