Pilgrimage Could Draw 300,000 To Des Plaines Shrine

Catholic worshipers have begun arriving at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Des Plaines.

DES PLAINES, IL - Thousands of Catholic worshipers are expected to visit Des Plaines by the end of the day on Tuesday to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The pilgrimage could draw more than 300,000 to the shrine at 1170 N. River Road, according to an ABC-7 report.

The shrine is expected to be filled with flowers and candles after Tuesday. People began arriving at the most visited shrine in the United States for the pilgrimage on Sunday.
