Get in tune with Oakton music classes

This fall, students of all skill levels can take credit courses in music at Oakton Community College.

According to a recent article in bachelorsdegree.org, music education offers many benefits to students, including developing language and reasoning skills, mastering memorization, teaching discipline, increasing coordination, preparing for the creative economy, developing special intelligence, learning teamwork and building self-confidence among others. This fall, students of all skill levels can take credit courses in music at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.

Classes start Monday, Aug. 20, and are offered in the following areas:
