Homeschoolers to create holiday gifts at the Des Plaines History Center

Homeschool Adventures: Making Ornaments Wednesday, December 3, from 1-4 p.m. Des Plaines History Center, 781 Pearson Street

Bring home the smell of the season! Homeschool families are invited to discover how easy it is to make holiday sachets using pine needles, fabric, and thread at Homeschool Adventures Wednesday, December 3, from 1-4 p.m. at the Des Plaines History Center, 781 Pearson Street.

“Sachets are a wonderful holiday craft,” said Sarah DePuy, intern at the History Center. “Place them in storage containers or closets, and they will keep your clothes and valuables smelling fresh year round.”

To make this session extra-special, a few members from the History Center’s Quilting Group will be available to assist. “Come and learn sewing skills from experienced quilters as you create unique holiday gifts for friends and family,” DePuy added.
