Huge protest held in Chicago against MOB lynching in India
During the protest community Leaders in Chicago expressing concern over the rising incidents of mob lynching in India.
Members of civil Society, Socials Workers, Civil Rights Activist, Political Party leaders, Community members, Local lawyers, College and university students, and religious and liberals’ leaders, Labor Union Representative, Local Journalists, Traders and Women social organization and others gather on Sunday in one of the big demonstrations in Devon Avenue, Chicago to protest about Mob Killing against Minorities in India.
Despite the sweltering heat gathering overhead, more than 200 people turned out for protest. Protest held on Sunday, July 28th, 2019 Start from 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m. Starts at 2415 W. Devon Avenue. Chicago, IL 60659 and ends at 6400 N. California Avenue. Chicago, IL 60659.
Protesters were chanted “We are Tabrez! Justice for Tabrez! Justice for all! No more lynching in the name of religion, Don’t Make India Lynchistan.”
The protesters and demonstrators carried Large and small banners, placards with messages like “Stop Mob Lynching and save the nation” and “Make India Safe Again.”
Hate crimes against minorities have spiked and growing in India since Modi and his Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power.
24-year-old Tabrez Ansari, who died after being beaten by a mob in Jharkhand few weeks ago, He was mercilessly beaten as he was Muslim. Tabrez Ansari was tied to a pole, beaten for hours and forced to chant “Jai Sri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman” (“Glory to Ram” and “Glory to Hanuman”), both praises to Hindu deities. He was declared dead at a hospital after four days in police custody.

Many Protesters said they were joining a demonstration for the first time in his life because they viewed and claimed there is no justice in India for minorities. "We need Justice for Tabrez Ansari and other Victims also who had been killed recently."
Protesters in Chicago to condemn the lynching and demand justice for the victims of the right-wing attacks, which primarily target Muslims, Christian, Dalit, Adivasi and other minorities in India. They also said we are not against Indian government. We want government to do his job and provide justice equality to all human. India is not belonged to one religious’ group. India is for everyone.
The rally was organized by Syed Iliyaz Hussain and its team and several groups including Madina Islamic Academy and Refuse Fascism Chicago.
Many leaders Include, Dr. Qutub Uddin, Sunsara Taylor, Carl Dix, Minhaj Akhter, Syed Iliyaz Hussain, Syed Shah Najmuddin Al-Jeelani, Syed Shah Immaduddin Quadri Al Jeelani, Muhammad Mukarram, Anas Ahmed, Rajye from Sadhana.org and many others were leading the protesters and address on the rally. Several Hindu community members also attended the protests to show their support for the Muslim community.
The Protesters in Chicago called for the Human right Commission on International Religious Freedom to raise India to the highest level of concern and use trade as leverage to prevent human rights violations in the Several State in India.
