Indians Chicago celebrate Party's victory in the state of Karnataka.

India's main opposition Congress party wrested control of the crucial southern Karnataka state from Prime Minister Modi's nationalist party

A couple days ago The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), which had been in power in Indian state Karnataka and the opposition Congress party of India triumphed in the Karnataka state in recent elections. The event was hosted by Iftekhar Shareef, a well-known Indian community leader and Krishna Mushyam along with others in Hoffman state's Stonegate Banquets on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Several Indian leaders including Sam Pitroda Chairman IOC, Krishna Mushyam, Rajendar Dichpally National General Secretary IOC, Mohammad Azharuddin Former Member of the Lok Sabha, and several others attended the event. where more than 200 attendees participated.

The guests started coming in much early from 7 p.m. onwards and started exchanging well wishes. The program started on-time at 7:30 p.m.

The program continued with speeches by notable speakers that included Sam Pitroda Chairman IOC, Krishna Mushyam, Rajendar Dichpally National General Secretary IOC, Mohammad Azharuddin Former Member of the Lok Sabha, Minhaj Akhter and several others.

"It is a significant triumph for all of Karnataka's pro-freedom and pro-peace citizens. The people of Karnataka have said enough is enough after seeing the chaos, disputes, and instability brought on by the BJP's racial agenda over the past five years, according to Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, USA.

He Further said, “Indians want the political leaders to focus on the pressing issues that everyday citizens face, such as inflation, youth unemployment in particular, a lack of affordable housing and access to clean water, and a lack of educational opportunities for the underprivileged. They are tired of the divisive politics of the Modi administration. via means of this election they voted against BJP.”

Chairman Sam Pitroda informed the gathering of Shri Rahul Gandhi's impending visit to the United States and urged everyone to attend his public event.

former member of parliament and cricketer Azharuddin stated that he was confident in the party's victory in Karnataka because he had observed a strong turnout at congress rallies and public support for the party. He declared that he was ready to assist the party in whatever capacity they desired.

“The outcomes of the elections in Karnataka demonstrate the victory of secularism over dividing politics. The people of Karnataka long for progress, harmony, and peace. Eighty percent of the secular Hindu people of the state of Karnataka voted for the Congress. Since there were only Muslims there15 percent in state. People thought the Congress Party was fading. The Congress party is Grass roots in India. The Party will never end.” Iftekhar Shareef said.

Krishna Mushyam offered a vote of gratitude and referenced a couplet by Rahul Gandhi about the difference between spreading love and the truth, as the RSS/BJP spreading hate and false narratives.

According to Rajendar Dichpally, the results of Rahul Gandhi's "Bharat Jodo Yatra" were starting to show, and the win of the Congress in Karnataka will give the party momentum leading up to the 2024 elections.

The celebration is concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and a lavish Dinner.
