JSMUAANA's annual meeting has become a successful milestone in Chicago
Mission is to connect and reconnect elders, students, relatives and friends of College and each other through experience and communication
Numerous graduates from Sind Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan (now Jinnah Sindh Medical University) joined the annual meetings in Chicago. The meeting included four days of education, innovation, and co-operation.
Basically, JSMUAANA is a nonprofit Organization their mission is to connect and reconnect Alumni, students, parents, and friends of the College and each other through experiences and communications for the purpose of generating multifaceted support for the Sindh medical College
The annual meeting and retreat were made possible due to the tireless efforts of Dr. Maleeha Ahsan, Dr. Rahat Shaikh and many others.

The Jinnah Sindh Medical University alumni in North America celebrated their 11th annual meeting and retreat in Oakbrook, Illinois from August 11 to 14.
This meeting was organized by the current Chairperson, Dr. Maleeha Ahsan, MD, and the Host Committee Chairperson, Dr. Rahat Shaikh. The Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Dr. Amjad Siraj Memon, was invited and attended this 4-day event along with Alumnus from the US and abroad.

The 4-day meeting started with a welcome dinner and baithak in which Karaoke songs were performed by the talented colleagues.
On August 12th, the day began with four hours of CME on various topics. After Jumma's prayers, which was mainly attended, the participants boarded the buses and were transported to Chicago, where they enjoyed the Chicago Architectural Tour on the boat. Lunch was provided aboard. About 130 delegates attended this event. Later, at the Oakbrook Hilton Resort where the meeting was held, a scrumptious dinner was served along with a Qawwali sitting. This was enjoyed by about 200 plus delegates and their families.
On 13th of August, CME was delivered in the morning by Speakers from US and abroad on various topics. A general meeting was held in the afternoon, which was attended by the Executive Council as well as the Board of Directors of JSMUAANA and its members. Saturday banquet program was the culmination of the high energy event. A social forum was organized by DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick to discuss safe driving. The annual dinner was the event of the meeting which attracted the largest number of participants, more than 250 delegates and families. Sanwal Esakhelvi entertained the crowd in the late hours of the night. The Pakistani General Council, Mr. Tariq Karim, and his wife were also in attendance.
On the last day, a ‘Mental Health Awareness March' was organized with community partners, the Hope for Us Network. They distributed t-shirts related to this tour. The event concluded with delegates celebrating Pakistan's 75th birthday with a delectable brunch.
The entire event was a success. Everyone who attended the annual meeting appreciated the chic atmosphere, the professional introductions, and the support of the community.
