Local Dentist Promotes National Children's Dental Health Month At School
Dr. Richard Stiles visits Our Lady of Destiny School to promote National Children's Dental Health Month
Des Plaines, IL – 2/25/15 — February is National Children’s Dental Health Month (NCDHM), a month-long celebration sponsored by the American Dental Association to promote dental education and awareness for all children.
Dr. Richard Stiles, a local Des Plaines dentist, along with his colleague, Ms. Ursula Fronduto, volunteered their time at Our Lady of Destiny School this Wednesday morning. They demonstrated the effects of acid on teeth, taught the children how to brush and floss properly, and handed out toothbrush and toothpaste sample packets along with coloring books featuring characters from the American Dental Society’s public service campaign.
The annual National Children’s Dental Health Month celebration focuses on oral hygiene care, nutritional concerns, prevention, and the importance of regular dental visits.
