Local Stylist Wins $2,000 Scholarship from Cosmetologists Chicago!

Dee Jovanovic receives the Cosmetologists Chicago Presidents Scholarship

Des Plaines resident Dusica (Dee) Jovanovic, a hairstylist at local Salon 127, recently was selected as a Presidents Scholarship winner by Cosmetologists Chicago, a non-profit, dedicating to providing the best education possible to the 80,000 registered beauty salon professionals in the state of Illinois. The largest association of cosmetologists in the Midwest and the owner/producer of America’s Beauty Show, Cosmetologists Chicago is a big believer in giving back! As part of CC’s ongoing commitment to educating professionals and improving the cosmetology profession, Cosmetologists Chicago yearly awards multiple Presidents Scholarships of up to $2,500. Winners may use the funds for advanced classes and seminars in the US or abroad, and previous winners have used the scholarship money to do just that, attending classes in Chicago, New York City, Santa Monica, London, Toronto, and more!

Dee Jovanovic was thrilled to receive the Cosmetologists Chicago Presidents Scholarship this year, and has this to say about her experience at the course funded by her scholarship winnings: “I attended the Mazella and Palmer 5-Day Fusion Course, based out of London and hosted by Adam Federico of Federico Advanced Academy in Sacramento, California. I could not have picked a better course to apply my Scholarship. The course was a hands-on cutting five-day class. It was very well organized and it definitely has bettered my cutting skills.. I brought back lots of great technical and skills and knowledge that I now use to make my client's happy. I’m grateful to Cosmetologists Chicago for this opportunity!”
