Maine Township Offers Free Document Shredding June 2
This free service fights fraud and identity theft and gives residents a safe, secure way to dispose of sensitive documents properly.

Maine Township will sponsor a document shredding day Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Maine Township Town Hall. There is no charge and reservations are not required. According to Supervisor Laura J. Morask, proper shredding is a way to fight fraud and combat identity theft which continues to rise.
To allow all Maine Township residents an opportunity to participate in this event, shredding will be limited to three small plastic grocery bags of documents per person. Staples are acceptable, but all paper clips, binder clips, and rubber bands must be removed. Spiral notebooks and plastic notebooks will not be accepted for shredding.
“We are offering this free service to our residents as a safe, secure way to dispose of sensitive documents properly,” said Supervisor Morask. As an added security measure, residents will be able to view shredding as it is done on their materials via a video monitor that is located on the outside of the truck.
