Maine West High School raised more than $17,000 this year for the American Cancer Society through various fundraising activities, such as "Miracle Minute," where faculty and students donate their pocket change at a specific time of the day.
The fundraising concluded with 12 students and faculty members accepting donations to shave their heads at this year's spring assembly to benefit the society.
