Mohammed Mortoja inaugurated as a trustee for the Glenside Library

Mohammed Mortoja was officially sworn in as the *Glenside Public Library Trustee ushering in a new chapter of change for the Glendale Height

May 18th, 2023, Glendale Heights Mohammed Mortoja was formally sworn in as the Glenside Public Library Trustee on May 18th, ushering in a new chapter of transformation for the Glendale Heights neighborhood. Br. Mortoja was given an outpouring of solidarity from the neighborhood's Muslim community and enthusiastically accepted his duties.

The importance of Mortoja's nomination as a trustee was underscored by the inauguration ceremony, which was attended by a large crowd. Following the ceremony of inauguration, Mortoja and the other trustees got right to work.

Community activist Dr. Sabeel Ahmed gave a succinct yet powerful presentation on the leadership abilities of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Dr. Ahmed stressed how Mortoja's adoption of these admirable traits, in particular, would help him and other leaders make decisions that would be advantageous to the entire city of Glendale Heights.
