Mom Sues Des Plaines Day Care Over Child's Tuberculosis
The lawsuit claims the staff at One Hope United-Northern Region didn't do enough to prevent the child from contracting the disease.

A Des Plaines day care center is being sued after a mother accuses the facility's staff of not preventing her child from coming down with tuberculosis in 2011, the Cook County Record reports.
The lawsuit filed by Irina Bakman, which was filed Tuesday, April 5, in Cook County Circuit Court, claims her child contracted the disease in August 2011 from the staff at One Hope United-Northern Region. The suit also claims the facility did not screen or test the staff for contagious diseases and did not do enough to prevent disease from spreading.
Bakman is suing for more than $50,000, plus costs associated with the lawsuit, the Record reports.
