Monday Blotter: Disorderly Conduct, Battery, Burglary
Truck driver's road rage goes a bit too far, scares woman and child.

Disorderly conduct
Friday Feb. 11 a woman reported that she was driving westbound on Oakton Avenue when a truck began to pull out in front of her on the street. She honked her horn to alert the driver, who then pulled out into traffic blocking both lanes. He then exited the vehicle and approached the woman's car and began yelling obscenities at her. Their was a minor in her vehicle as well. The driver then got back into his truck and stuck up his middle finger at the woman and drove off.

Friday Feb. 11 police were dispatched to a vacant building on the 1500 block of East Ellinwood Street after receiving a phone call from the owner of the building who reported a broken window and finding food wrappers and empty beer bottles on the second floor. Total estimated property lost: $250.
Burglary

Saturday Feb.12 police were dispatched to a residence on the 900 block of Greenview Avenue for a report of burglary. An unknown offender entered the unlocked garage of the home and removed four chrome rims that were lying on the floor. Total estimated property lost: $1,000.
Battery
Sunday Feb. 13 police were called to a residence on the 800 block of East Woodland Ave. A man reported that a man approached his door bleeding and said that he had been jumped by three men on the street for no reason. The victim appeared to be highly intoxicated, according to reports, and could not give a good description of the offenders. Police transported the victim to Lutheran General Hospital for treatment.
