Oakbrook physicians celebrate Ramadan with officials and community
large group of nearly 100 local Muslims and people of many faiths was brought together for a Multi Faith dinner by Dr. Suresh Reddy
On Tuesday April 17th, 2022, a large group of nearly 100 local Muslims and people of many faiths was brought together for a Multi Faith dinner by Dr. Suresh Reddy and Dr. Anuja Gupta. Dr. Reddy is the president of Indian American Medical Association, Illinois, and trustee in Oak Brook and Dr. Gupta is a physician and real estate entrepreneur based in Chicago.
Ramadan Dinner is held every year in which big Community personalities of Chicagoland participate. The traditional Iftar party of Dr. Suresh Reddy has become a big event in Chicago. Has not held an iftar party for the last year due to a coronavirus outbreak.
Dr. Reddy resides in the Oakbrook area with his wife Leela and son Rohun welcomed all the guests.

Over 100 people, including state and city officials and people of diverse faiths and backgrounds attended the Annual Ramadan Dinner.
Apart from political and social personalities, Mayor of Glendale Heights Chodri Khokhar, Hanover Township Assessor Khaja Moinuddin, Streamwood Library Trustee Asad Khan, Chicago Community Leader Iftekhar Shareef were also present at the Iftar party held at a resident of Dr. Reddy, Community leader Altaf Bukhari, Candidate for IL State Rep Ms. Nabeela Syed, Ashfaq Hussain Syed, Kader Sakkaria, Dr. Tajammul Hussain, Shafeek Abubaker, Fatima Alawsee, Munawar Izhar, Tariq Shamsher Junejo Tariq, Mohsin, Reema Kamran Reema, Ghousia Wajid, Ali Khan and many others were present.

Dr. Suresh Reddy said, “I am having a privileged to have worked with our Muslim brothers and sisters from various parts of the Chicago area. We have a common aim-to promote a community of understanding, peace, and harmony. Leela, Rohun and I are extremely grateful that many community members prayed all at once and blessed our home. It really felt like a real family celebration.”
