One Dead, Two Injured When Car Collides With Condo
The crash occurred near downtown Des Plaines on Monday afternoon.

A 73-year-old woman who was traveling in a car that struck a condo building in Des Plaines died from an apparent heart attack Monday afternoon, according to the Daily Herald.
The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. on Monday when the car’s driver, 71, experienced a leg cramp and swerved off the road near River Road and River Street, colliding with the 5-story condo building, the newspaper reports.
The driver of the red sedan and a woman in the back seat were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries while the woman, 73, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead, according to the article.
