Over 100 Child Sex Abuse Images Found On Man's Phone: Cook County Sheriff
The unincorporated Des Plaines man was arrested after an investigation by Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and Cyber Trafficking Unit.

COOK COUNTY, IL — An unincorporated Des Plaines man has been charged with felony possession of child sexual abuse material after police reportedly found over 100 images on his cellphone, including those depicting children under 13 years old. Matthew Feeney, 24, of the 9000 block of Capitol Drive, was arrested last Thursday following an investigation by the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
Feeney made his initial court appearance on Saturday and was ordered into the custody of the Cook County Jail. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved the felony charge.
On the day prior to his arrest, investigators with the Sheriff's Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and Cyber Trafficking Unit received information indicating that a cell phone belonging to Feeney contained the child sexual abuse material images.

During his arrest, police took possesson of Feeney's cellphone, and obtained a search warrant for the seized phone.
On February 19, investigators located Feeney near his residence, situated in the 9000 block of Capitol Drive in unincorporated Des Plaines. He was taken into custody by the investigators, who also took possession of his cell phone at that time.
