Pakistan American Chamber Commerce in Chicago held a gala to foster trade ties between US and Pakistan

Pakistan American Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce (PACCC) hosted its first annual gala in the Chicago area

The Pak American Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce (PACCC) held its Annual Gala 2026 on August 21, 2026, at the Holiday Inn in Skokie, Illinois. The event brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community figures to build trade partnerships between the U.S. and Pakistan. The event was attended by more than two hundred fifty business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community figures. The Program Started with the Recite Quran by Hafiz Abdul Mannan
A documentary overview presented the Chamber's establishment, included governance structures, website launches, and strategic partnerships with institutions like the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The PACCC has actively engaged with government bodies, including the Special Investment Facilitation Council and various high-level leadership from both Pakistan and the United States. The Founding President, Mr. Naveed Anwar, reflected on the Chamber's role as a "bridge" between business communities. He emphasizes Helping Pakistani businesses enter and expand within the US market Encouraging Pakistani American investment in Pakistan's key sectors like IT, agriculture, and energy. Announced the transition from a local Chicagoland organization to the Pakistani American Midwest Chamber of Commerce. Focus areas for the upcoming year include strengthening B2B connections, mentorship programs for the youth, university partnerships, and building a physical PACCC House in Chicago
A video message from Chamber's Vice President from Pakistan Rana Khurram Ali Khan outlined the chamber's goal to bridge business opportunities between the two nations, highlighting efforts to build institutional foundations and expand professional relationships in Pakistan. Consul General Zaman Mehdi read a message from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahabaz Sharif commending the chamber for its role in fostering trade, investment, and people-to-people ties. Consul General Zaman Mehdi discussed the shift in US-Pakistan relations from aid-based to investment-based, noting the significant growth in trade and the potential for cooperation in digital technology and AI. Deputy Consul General Saeed Ali shared a message from the Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Rizwan Saeed. In his message Ambassador of Pakistan emphasized the dynamic role of the Pakistani-American community in fostering commercial partnerships. Council member Abdul Basit from Columbus, Ohio, encourages greater civic and political participation among Pakistani Americans. Chairperson Dr. Tariq Butt expressed gratitude to the attendees and contributors, highlighting the importance of collaboration in education and business growth. The event had a conversation with Dr. Omar Lateef (often spelled Latif) is the President and CEO of the Rush University System for Health moderated by the Chairman, Dr. Tariq Butt. and highlighted how to improve the health system in Pakistan with support of America.
