The Illinois State Senate passed a resolution on Pakistan Day.

Illinois Senator Laura Murphy presented a proclamation in the Illinois State Senate, paying tribute to the achievements of Pakistani Americans and the relationship between the United States and Pakistan. The proclamation was delivered by a senator and released by the Illinois State Senate. Laura Murphy, celebrating Pakistan-U.S. relations and the accomplishments of Americans in Pakistan. The Pakistani Consul General in Chicago, Tariq Karim, has been a "key player in promoting bilateral relations and benefiting the community collaborations, and expanding business and interpersonal relationships between the two nations."

Activities are also being seen in the United States regarding Pakistan Independence Day, and an important resolution was passed in this regard in the state Senate.

The declaration recognizes in observance of Pakistan Independence Day on August 14, the US state of Illinois Senate passed a historic resolution on March 23. The resolution introduced by State Senator Laura Murphy recognizes and honors the efforts of the Pakistani community in Illinois.

Pakistani Consul General Pakistan Chicago Mr. Tariq Karim said in this regard that the resolution recognizes Pakistan’s independence as an inspiration for other nations. This important resolution passed in the Senate of the US state of Illinois reflects the strong bond of friendship between Pakistan and the state of Illinois.
