Police Seek Help Locating Missing Elderly Man

The Des Plaines man went missing on Dec. 17 and police believe he may try to harm himself.

DES PLAINES, IL - The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a a missing Des Plaines man.

William R. Anderson, 79, was last seen on Dec. 17 in unincorporated Des Plaines and police said it is believed that he may attempt to harm himself, according to a Cook County Sheriff’s Office press release. Anderson is white, 6-foot, 1-inch tall, weighs approximately 250 pounds and has fair complexion with grey hair and hazel eyes.

He may be driving a blue, 2006 Ford Focus with Illinois plates BT3644.

Sheriff Dart asks anyone with information regarding Anderson’s whereabouts to call sheriff’s police at 708-865-4896 or 847-635-1188.
