A Chicago man was charged with five counts of battery, criminal trespass, resisting police and retail theft after an altercation with police at the Des Plaines Library, the Journal and Topics reported.
Steven T. Dean, 44, had been banned from the library in December, the newspaper reported. When Dean returned on Aug. 14, police were called and an altercation between officers and Dean occurred, the newspaper reported.
