School District 62 Cuts 16 Positions
Classes will be monitored at the beginning of the next school year to determine if additional staff is needed.

Des Plaines School District 62 is set to cut 16 positions before the new school year due to decreased enrollment and state funding, according to an article in TribLocal.
The plan will eliminate five teaching positions and 11 assorted staff positions, such as teacher assistants. The board said they will monitor class size at the beginning of the year to determine if additional staff is needed and have put funds aside to do so.
