The subject of this presentation is “Storage in the Cloud,” offered by Gerard Iannuzzelli, Director of IT, and his team. Topics covered will include differentiating between the Cloud Storage options, including Standard Storage; Durable Reduced Availability Storage; and Nearline Storage. The presentation will de-mystify the concept of cloud storage, and show how cloud storage enables worldwide storage and retrieval of data at any time.

The cloud is, in simplest terms, a virtual server (actually, a “server conglomerate”) that allows a user to store, edit, and download data from just about anywhere. All that is needed is the ability to access the web, and then you can access the cloud.
