TCF Annual Gala 2019 was a tremendous Success in Chicago

Our aim is eradicating illiteracy from all over in Pakistan, Ejaz Shameem

Chicago, October 26, 2019: The Citizens Foundation USA, a nonprofit 501 (C) USA-based organization, raised funds last Saturday at the Embassy Suites Naperville to support its organization in Pakistan. The Citizens Foundation TCF is one of Pakistan’s top leading organizations in the field of formal education. Today TCF Pakistan was launched by five philanthropists with the aim of eradicating illiteracy from Pakistan. They pledged to open 1000 schools in city slums and backward rural areas of Pakistan. Now they are almost close to their goal with 1,202 schools in all the provinces of Pakistan like Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir. There are 250,000 students who are being imparted education by more than 6000 teachers trained at the TCF’s own facility before entering the class rooms. The infrastructure and equipment at these schools are the best available today.
The Vice president of TCF USA Ejaz Shamim introduced the organization and with the help of statistical data explained to the audience that as supporters of TCF USA they have played a major role in this success. During his power point presentation Mr. Shamim explains to the audience. It takes just $10 a month to provide a quality education to a child in a TCF school. 90 % of every dollar donated to TCF goes directly to running the schools. Our focused is on educating children in urban slums and rural areas. Currently more than 225,000 students (50% of them girls) are studying in our 1,482 school units. Our schools are open to all children regardless of ethnicity or a family’s economic status.
Master of ceremonies was Ms. Arshia Husnain and the program begins with Quran recitation and its translation in English by local student. The theme of the program was "A Promise to the Future".
The Keynote speaker was Ashraf Habibullah. Ashraf Habibullah is a structural engineer and software developer best known as the founder, President, and CEO of Computers and Structures, Inc., a structural and earthquake engineering Software Company based in Berkeley, California. During his Speech he said,"TCF is fighting for Modern Education in Pakistan every child either he is Poor or Rich they have to get same kind of Education."
The guest of the honors was talented student from TCF School, Noman Rafique, he was a son of a laborer who made it to a US university thanks to education provide by a TCF school in slums of Gulshan Iqbal, Karachi during his speech he mention about his personal life Story. How his life become change after TCF open School in her rural area in Karachi. Now he got scholar ship in USA because of support of TCF & you.
At the end Ejaz Shamim said,"we are grateful to you and your families for supporting our mission to educate and empower children across Pakistan."
