Veterans Day "Honoring Those Who Served"

Volunteers with Clean Up - Give Back .Org honored our veterans by cleaning near the Belleau Woods War Memorial in Des Plaines

Clean Up - Give Back .Org conducted two cleanup campaigns this Veterans Weekend. Volunteers on Friday and Sunday afternoons honored our veterans by cleaning near the Belleau Woods War Memorial on Ballard near Rand Road in Des Plaines. In total, 21 bags of trash as well as several large pieces from vehicles were removed from the area. Donna Adam, President of Clean Up - Give Back said, "We were honored to have a veteran who served in Afghanistan at our Friday afternoon cleanup. We also want to thank those from the community who participated as well as volunteers from the Schuler Scholar Program working with area high school students, who came to both of the cleanups."

Clean Up - Give Back provides opportunities for individuals, groups and businesses to serve their community through trash cleanup campaigns. Visit the website at www.cleanupgiveback.org to view their programs and save the date June 20, 2020 for the Des Plaines Riverbank Community Cleanup that is hosted with the Izaak Walton League.
