Wednesday Blotter: Burglary, Disorderly Conduct and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor

Two more burglaries and a father is arrested for giving his son beer.

Residential Burglary

Tuesday Oct. 5 at 9:22 p.m., police responded to a report of residential burglary (the location is unavailable at this time). The victim reported that she had been shopping with her daughter and when they returned home, discovered a kitchen window open and the bedrooms ransacked. Items missing included a black HP laptop, a black Georgino woman's watch, a gold tennis bracelet and two pillow cases, among other items. Total estimated property loss: $3,965.

Tuesday Oct. 5 at 11:44 p.m., police responded to a report of residential burglary on the 600 block of E. Golf Road. The victim said he had been out all day and when he returned home he discovered a window had been pried open and that his bedroom had been ransacked. Items missing included a black Movado men's watch and a brown pillowcase. Nothing else in the home appeared to be disturbed. Total estimated property loss: $859.

Disorderly Conduct

Tuesday Oct. 5 at 3:26 p.m., police responded to a call at a residence on the 100 block of N. Warrington Road. A female reported that as she was driving down the street, she honked her horn to wave at the mail carrier when a man ran out onto his front porch and screamed an expletive and a derogatory phrase at her and then flipped his middle finger in her direction. Brian E. Warren, 34, of the 100 block of Warrington Road was charged with disorderly conduct. He will appear at Skokie Court House Nov. 18.

Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor/ Minor Consumption of Alcohol

Wednesday Oct. 6 at 1:25 a.m., police responded to a report of alleged underage drinking at a residence on the 2000 block of Pine Street. Lino Vazquez-Ortega, 41, of the 2000 block of Pine Street admitted to giving his son, Christian, alcohol and was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Christian Vazquez, 18, also of the 2000 block of Pine Street and Jose Gomez, 20, of the 4700 block of Arbor Drive in Rolling Meadows were charged with minor consumption of alcohol.
