Winter Card Contest Winners Announced, Headed For Official Mailer

DES PLAINES, IL — The winners of the 2017 Winter Card Contest at Des Plaines School District 62 were announced Tuesday. The top three designs were selected from more than 20 entries and will become the district's official winter card that will be mailed out to the community next month. You can check out all the rest of the entries at the Des Plaines Public Library through the month of December.

Here are the top three card designs, as decided by judged by a panel of community volunteers from surrounding school districts and agencies:

1st Place: Ashir Arsalan, Terrace Elementary School, Grade 2

2nd Place: Midhila Thomas, Iroquois Community School, Grade 6

3rd Place: Paul Reyes, South Elementary School, Grade 2
