DES PLAINES, IL — A 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 77-year-old woman making a left turn into All Saints Cemetery fatally collided with a 2002 Mercedes driven by a 41-year-old man Tuesday morning on River Road, police said. The man, Belal Tebakhi of Mount Prospect, was not wearing a seat belt at the time, according to a police investigation and accident reconstruction that shut down the area for hours following the crash. Tebakhi was pronounced dead upon arrival at Lutheran General Hospital as a result of the accident, police said. The driver of the Jeep, Delight Lebel of Rosemont, was cited for "failure to yield turning left." Prince of Peace United Methodist Church

Singer, actress and worship leader Vikki J. Myers returns to Prince of Peace United Methodist Church to present her acclaimed one-woman show, “Faith, Hope &amp; Love: History Making Women of Our Time.”
Tickets are free, reservations are requested.&nbsp; A 20-minute Q &amp; A conversation with the cast will follow.&nbsp; 
Myers created “Faith, Hope &amp; Love”&nbsp;in 2006 as a tribute women who have not only impacted her life but have been credited with changing the course of history.&nbsp; The 60-minute show spotlights eight faith-inspired women who made their mark over three centuries.&nbsp; 
Notable and diverse figures as Mahalia Jackson, Rosa Parks, and Mother Teresa are among the women Myers portrays as she creatively weaves drama, humor and music. Other stories she performs include Susan B. Anthony and Sojourner Truth, whose tales she told in the original production.&nbsp; Added for this updated revival are Phillis Wheatley, Ethel Waters and Merlie Evers-Williams. 
She is accompanied by Garlan Garner, musical director of Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries (KIT Ministries), who returns to encourage audience participation and maintain the interactive art museum atmosphere.&nbsp;&nbsp; 
Myers last appeared at Prince of Peace in January, performing as Coretta Scott King with her husband, Michael Edgar Myers, in their program, "Strollin' Down MLK." Both shows are segments of "Convergence of History," a project created to dramatize the effects of Christianity in the development of Black History and American History as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary.&nbsp;&nbsp;
As was the case in January, this production at Prince of Peace of co-sponsored by the Interfaith Council of Elk Grove Village.&nbsp;
She revived and updated the script in honor of Women's History Month (March) and Black Women's History Month (April), as part of the six-month theater festival called, "Convergence of History: Four Anniversaries, One Faith," produced by the non-profit company she co-founded, Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries.
Other anniversaries acknowledged in the theater festival are the centennial of Negro History Week, the golden celebration of Black History Month, and the fifth anniversary of Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday.&nbsp; Highlights of all six KIT Ministries history shows will be included in a final showcase performance, Saturday, June 20, 3 PM at the Bellevue Ministry Center in Chicago.&nbsp;
“With the changes our nation is undergoing I thought this would be the perfect time to revive 'Faith, Hope and Love,' to demonstrate how women have withstood personal and cultural challenges in our history,” says Myers, noting that besides the eight she portrays on stage, she presents 10 other anecdotes in voice-acting narrations. “It is an inspirational program that I believe will encourage women of all ages to remain hopeful and prayerful…even in the midst of a challenging time.”&nbsp; 
 KIT Ministries is an ensemble of touring theater missionaries based in Elk Grove Village, IL., who entertain, educate, equip and empower through performing arts to facilitate Safe-Faith Conversations among schools, churches and community agencies.
