DOWNERS GROVE, IL — West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) recently welcomed eleven beagles who were rescued from a biomedical research and dog breeding facility in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin. The dogs were among 1,500 beagles saved from the facility.
“Our mission is about making sure these dogs go into loving homes,”Carolyn Mossberger, Executive Director at WSHS, said in a statement.
Mossberger added, “We are honored to play a role in this national effort. Together we can give these beagles the happy and healthy lives they deserve.”
The beagles will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Their care at WSHS will also include socialization, improved nutrition and activities for daily enrichment.
To help support the beagles' medical treatments, WSHS is welcoming donations from community members. Click the link to donate to help the beagles at WSHS.
