DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove Liquor Commission will review a liquor license application from The Lucky Monk, a brewpub that plans to open in the spot that was once home to Brick House Tavern & Tap, 1461 Butterfield Road.

The Lucky Monk is seeking a Class R-3/O liquor license, which would permit the sale of liquor, beer and wine at the restaurant and for consumption offsite. The license will also allow The Lucky Monk to serve alcohol outdoors.
