DOWNERS GROVE, IL — On Tuesday, the Downers Grove Village Council will have its first reading of an amended planned unit development for a car dealership at 330 Ogden Ave.
The 2.97-acre parcel currently comprises a used car dealership at 310 Ogden Ave. and a Lamborghini and Bentley dealership at 330 Ogden Ave.
Petitioners are proposing a two-phase construction project to build a 36,245 square ft. dealership.
Phase one would include work to replace the building at 310 Ogden Ave. with a 18,812 square foot Rolls Royce service center and showroom, along with a 3,456 square foot mezzanine.
Phase two would include demolishing the building at 330 Ogden Ave. and adding 17,433 square feet to the 310 Ogden Building that would house Lamorghini and Bentley showrooms and an automotive service center.
According to village documents, the proposal is "consistent with the intent of the Guiding DG Comprehensive Plan."
On June 9, the planning commission unanimously voted to recommend approval of the amendment.
