Brick Used To Shatter Windows Of Elementary School In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police say someone smashed the windows of Belle Aire Elementary School.

The school's security alarm was triggered around 8:45 p.m. on July 18. A staff member who responded to the alarm told police four windows had been shattered with a brick.

Police completed a walk-through of the building and noted that it appeared no one had gained entry.

The windows were boarded up, and the total damage was estimated at $1200.
