DOWNERS GROVE, IL — The Downers Grove Liquor Commission is set to review a liquor license application from The Rec League at its Oct. 1 meeting.

The Rec League is the newest development from the team behind Cadence Kitchen and Foxtail. Located at 844 Warren Ave., the restaurant space will feature a heated outdoor patio and at least one fire pit, according to village documents.

The building will have a dining area on its first floor that opens onto the patio. The second floor will include space for customers to play billiards and darts. Wood timbers and stone accents on the building will "reflect a California mountain vernacular," per village documents.

According to the Downers Grove Economic Development Commission, The Rec League is projected to open in late 2026.
