Rail & Rye Now Open In Downtown Westmont

WESTMONT, IL — Rail & Rye opened in early September, bringing bourbon and rye whiskeys and Midwestern favorites and bourbon-infused fare to downtown Westmont.

The kitchen at Rail & Rye uses no seed oils, opting instead for butter, avocado oil, olive oil and 100 percent beef tallow, according to the restaurant's website.

Many of the items on Rail & Rye's menu are made from scratch and they offer an extensive selection of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps and entrees.

The appetizer selection includes Wisconsin cheese curds, saganaki, bourbon-glazed meatballs and warm whipped feta dip. Soup and chili are also available.

Rail & Rye offers wings flavored with glazes or dry rubs. Options include Guinness BBQ, Railyard Bourbon, garlic parmesan and Cajun.

For the main course, diners can order a sandwich topped wit a half-pound burger, pulled pork, chicken parmesan or barbecue chicken in nearly a dozen variations.

Quesadillas, fish and chips, grilled salmon and char-broiled skirt steak round out the food menu.

For drinks, Rail & Rye serves bourbon and rye whiskey, craft cocktails and other libations.

Located at 7 W. Quincy St., Rail & Rye is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. On Sundays and Mondays, they're open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
