• Lead found on properties neighboring Dundee's Haeger Potteries site (dailyherald.com) — Lead-contaminated soil has been detected just beyond the former Haeger Potteries property, now owned by East Dundee, and the Illinois EPA will begin additional neighborhood testing the week of Sept. 21. Village officials say they’re seeking more information and public transparency from the state, while residents are urged to limit contact with bare soil and follow health guidance as redevelopment plans remain on hold.
