12U Rockets Raise Funds at McDonald's to Support Baseball

The CDBL Rockets 12u Rockets Travel Team held a fundraiser at the Elgin McDonald's on Randall Road

The CDBL Rockets 12u Rockets Travel Team held a fundraiser at the Elgin McDonald's on Randall Road Thursday, April 25th, and they hit it out of the park!

Coaches along with the players and team volunteers all worked during this event, in support of the Baseball Team. They worked behind the counter taking orders, preparing freshly cooked meals and handing out food and desserts to patrons.
Many coaches, parents and team members sold pies and dressed up in a pie box during this three-hour event. All 168 pies sold were donated by Marc Bear and 100% of those proceeds went directly back to the team, who was raising funds for the team.
Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McCoaches Night sales were donated directly to the CDBL Rockets 12U Team as well.
Mr. Bear was excited to host the team, coaches, and all the volunteers. Bear said he always loves the positive energy these events bring to the restaurant. The McDonald’s staff enjoys partnering with the team as it gives them a chance to give back to the community they are in, according to Bear.
“I’m proud to play a part in bringing the community together and supporting the Travel Baseball Team,” Mr. Bear said.
The event was made possible by the generosity of the Bear Family Restaurants and McDonald’s Franchise Owner-Operator, Marc Bear and his amazing staff, who assisted with the event throughout the night. Like us on Facebook and visit our Bear Website.
