1 Killed After 2 Semis Collide
The crash happened Wednesday morning on I-90 west of Route 20, police said.

KANE COUNTY, IL — One person is dead after two semi trucks collided on I-90 in Kane County Wednesday morning, authorities said. The collision happened at mile post 41.25 on westbound I-90 at 10:19 a.m. when a red Freightliner truck unit was beginning to reduce speed in the far right lane and had its 4-way hazard lights on, according to a news release from Illinois State Police.
A white Freightliner truck ran into the the rear trailer of the red Freightliner. The driver of the white semi truck, Lorne Hoover, 43, of Machesney Park was pronounced dead at the scene.
Abdullahi Said, 49, of St. Paul, Minn., was driving the other semi at the time of the crash, according to the news release.
