1 Taken to Hospital in Elgin Shooting

ELGIN, IL — Authorities in Elgin are investigating a Monday shooting. Police were called to the 200 block of Villa St. Monday night. One person was shot and taken to an area hospital, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page.

Detectives from the Major Investigations Division were called to the scene and Villa Street was closed through late on Monday night.
