2 Elgin Men Face Weapons Charges
The two men were taken into custody following a traffic stop over the weekend in Elgin.

ELGIN, IL – Two Elgin men faces weapons charges after being pulled over Saturday evening in Elgin. The Gang Crimes Unit for Special Assignment conducted the traffic stop in the 1600 block of Maple Drive at about 5:55 p.m. on June 16, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page. Michael A. Crigler, 31, of the 200 block of Villa Street in Elgin, was arrested after authorities allegedly learned he was driving with a suspended license and also found two loaded firearms and drug paraphernalia in the car.
Crigler had a previous Kane Co. felony conviction for a weapon-related offense, authorities said. And a passenger in the car, Greggory Boudreau, 53, of the 200 block of Villa Street in Elgin, did not have a valid firearms license under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act.
Following his arrest, Crigler was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, a class 3 felony; two counts of possession of a firearm without a valid FOID-not eligible, a class 3 felony; two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (no FOID), a class 4 felony; two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (uncased/loaded in vehicle), a class 4 felony; driving while license suspended; and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Greggory A. Boudreau has been charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (no concealed carry license), a class 4 felony; and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon (uncased/loaded in vehicle), a class 4 felony.
“This was a proactive stop that resulted in taking guns and people who shouldn’t be possessing them off the streets of Elgin,” Elgin Police Department Interim Chief Bill Wolf said. “I’m proud of the work our officers do to positively impact the safety of our neighborhoods.”
