2 Critically Injured In Elgin Crashes
The first crash happened late Monday and the second crash happened early Tuesday.

Two serious crashes occurred in Elgin in late Monday and early Tuesday. The first crash occurred at 10:37 p.m. Monday at West Highland Avenue and Stonehaven Drive, according to authorities. A motorcycle was headed east on Highland Avenue before crossing lanes and going down into an embankment near Stonehaven Drive.
The driver, a 33-year-old Elgin man, was initially transported to Presence St. Joseph Hospital and was then flown to Lutheran General. He is in critical condition, according to an update on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page.
The second crash occurred at 3:58 a.m. on Tuesday when a vehicle hit a tree and rolled over in the 300 block of N. McLean Boulevard. Both the driver and passenger were initially transported to Presence St. Joseph Hospital.

The driver, a 24-year-old Alsip man, was treated for injuries that are not considered life threatening. A passenger, a 24-year-old woman from Elgin, was later transported to Lutheran General for treatment of critical injuries.
