3 Dead In 2 Separate Bartlett Crashes: Reports

2 died and 5 were hurt in a single-vehicle rollover.

BARTLETT, IL — At least three people were killed and five were injured in two separate crashes Sunday in Bartlett, according to media reports. Police told NBC Chicago that two died and five more were injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash near West Lake Street and Route 20.

Seven people were reportedly in the SUV when it hit a pole and rolled over, and police believe one of those killed was the driver, according to NBC. Another victim was reportedly as a 17-year-old.

Police told NBC the surviving victims were transported to two area hospitals, and estimated that West Lake Street could remain closed until at least 8 p.m. Sunday.

Another fatality was reported Sunday morning on Route 59 near Auburn Lakes Lane, according to the Daily Herald. The head-on crash closed the roadway between Stearns Road and West Bartlett Road for several hours.
