4 Retail Thefts In 17 Days For Elgin Man, Charges Show
Angel Ortiz-Nunez is accused of retail theft in January incidents reported in Elgin and Carpentersville.

ELGIN, IL - A man from Elgin is facing several counts of felony retail theft, all in connection to four separate incidents reported in just a 17-day span last month. Angel A. Ortiz-Nunez, 34, is currently being held at the Kane County jail on $96,700 bail, according to a report from the Daily Herald.
Ortiz-Nunez is the suspect in retail thefts at Jewel-Osco in Elgin on Jan. 13, Woodman's in Carpentersville on Jan. 24, Menard's in Carpentersville on Jan. 25 and Walmart in Elgin on Jan. 30.
In the retail theft at Jewel, he is accused of stealing more than $300 worth of "consumable goods."
