Advocate Sherman Hospital named to U.S. News ‘Best Hospitals’ list

Advocate Sherman was ranked the 11th Best Regional Hospital in Illinois and received high-performing rankings in six specialties.

Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, Advocate Sherman Hospital was recognized among U.S. News & World Report’s ‘Best Hospitals.’

Advocate Sherman was ranked the 11th Best Regional Hospital in Illinois and received high-performing rankings in six specialties: Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology & Lung Surgery and Urology.

Nineteen additional Advocate Aurora Health hospitals were named to the list, including Advocate Christ Medical Center, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Aurora Medical Center-Grafton, Advocate Condell Medical Center, Advocate Trinity Hospital, Aurora Medical Center-Summit, Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Aurora Medical Center-Oshkosh, Aurora West Allis Medical Center, Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area, Aurora Medical Center-Manitowoc County and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Advocate Children’s Hospital was recognized earlier in the summer as a top pediatric hospital.

U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide. Their methodology is based on measures of quality such as risk-adjusted outcome rates, volume, quality of nursing and other care-related indicators.
