All-Star Musicians to Headline Elgin Fourth of July Celebration
The American Vinyl All-Star Band Comprises Artists from the Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, James Brown & More!

The “who’s who” of the rock n’ roll world are banding together on Independence Day for an exclusive performance at the Elgin Fourth of July Celebration. The American Vinyl All Star Band (AVASB), comprising Jeffrey “Skunk” Baxter (Doobie Bothers/Steely Dan), Barry Goudreau (formerly of Boston), Robert “Mousey” Thompson (James Brown), Leroy “LRS” Romans (The Wailers/3rd World), Tim Archibald (RTZ/Peter Wolf) and Danny Beissel (Featherborn/Fosterchild), will be headlining the Elgin Fourth of July Celebration at Festival Park (132 S. Grove Ave.) on Thursday, July 4.
Special guest vocalist Sharlotte Gibson, who has recorded and toured with artists such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Mariah Care and served as a backing vocalist on American Idol and written the theme song for the Ellen show, will also appear on the show.
During this exciting event, AVASB will perform a selection of songs from their respected bands. Second Hand Soul and iPop will perform prior to AVASB.

The Elgin Fourth of July Celebration kicks off at 5 PM and runs until 10 PM and will feature games, contests, a replica of Mount Rushmore, food trucks, and fireworks.
