Are You Missing Your Pet Python?: Elgin PD
The Elgin Police Department responded to a report of a python in a garage in town Thursday night.

ELGIN, IL —Has anyone in town lost their pet Python? This is the question the Elgin Police Department posed on its Facebook page Friday morning along with a picture of a brave Officer J. Collins handling the pet after he was dispatched to retrieve the reptile from a near west side garage overnight.
The python was taken to Golf Rose Animal Services where it can be picked up by its owner, authorities said.
Meanwhile, the homeowner who called authorities after finding the snake in her garage thanked the Elgin Police Department for their quick response.

"He came out of our garage! Thanks to quick response from officers," she noted in the comments on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page.
