ELGIN, IL — An arrest warrant has been issued for the brother of a woman fatally shot outside an Elgin bar, Elgin Police Department Chief Ana Lalley said in a video posted to the department's Facebook page. Shannon Smith, 23, with the last known address of the 6000 block of N. The shooting occurred after an argument between several people escalated, Lalley said in a statement.

In total, four people were shot -- three women and one man. One of the women, Smith's sister Shaprie Smith, later died at a local hospital

Shannon Smith fled in a vehicle, which was later recovered in Chicago, following the shooting, police said.
