Bear Family Restaurants Host Slushie With a Sergeant in Elgin

Elgin, IL. – Customers and Community Members of the Elgin McDonald’s on McLean Blvd. were treated to a complimentary Slushie on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 in an event called " Slushie with a Sergeant". During this event Sergeants and Officers from the Elgin Police Department made and served Slushies to the patrons of the restaurant.

The Elgin McDonald’s, Owned and Operated by the David Bear of the Bear Family Restaurants, is honored to take part in community-building events like these. Mr. Bear truly enjoys being part of the local Police force engaging with the community.

“We are proud of the role we have maintained in Elgin over the years, and we are happy to see the community and the local police department enjoying Slushies together. This is a great way for the community to enjoy their summer while engaging with the local officers.”

The Bear Family would like to thank Sergeant Rick Demierre, who contributed to the coordination of the Slushie with a Sergeant event. The Bear Family would also like to thank all the officers who came to the event, helped serve Slushies, took pictures with the community members.
